Privacy Policy
- Your recordings and songs stay on your phone. We never receive them unless you choose to share or send them to us.
- No account. You don't give us your name, email or phone number to use the app.
- Analytics and crash reports are optional. We ask you first, and you can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy & Data.
- Purchases go through Apple. We only learn that a purchase happened, not your card details.
1. Who we are
Muztereo (the "App") is operated by Krystsina Chukhlei, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland, Bolesława Prusa 24, 80-447 Gdańsk, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 5842832850 ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Privacy questions: support@muztereo.com.
2. What the App does with your voice
Muztereo records your voice, tunes it to the notes of a beat and adds vocal effects. All of this happens on your device. Your recordings, your saved songs, the beats you import and the pictures you pick as covers are stored only in the App's storage on your phone (and in your iCloud/iTunes device backup, if you have backups enabled — that is between you and Apple).
We do not upload, listen to, analyse or train anything on your recordings. When you tap Share, the song goes where you send it (Messages, social apps, Files, Photos) under those services' own terms.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Purchases (necessary)
Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store. To know whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, which receives from Apple:
- a random identifier created for your installation (not your Apple ID, name or email);
- the purchase receipt: product, price, currency, dates, trial and renewal status;
- device type, iOS version, App version, country and language of the store.
Apple handles payment. We never see your card or bank details. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3.2 Crash reports (only with your consent)
If you allow Analytics and the App crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a crash report: where in the code the crash happened, device model, iOS version, App version, free memory and storage, whether the device was jailbroken, time of the crash and a random installation identifier. Crash reports never contain your recordings or any text you typed. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given and withdrawn together with Analytics (section 3.3). Without it, we only see the crash statistics Apple shares with developers from users who opted in to that in iOS settings.
3.3 Usage analytics (only with your consent)
If you allow Analytics, we use Amplitude and Firebase Analytics (Google) to see which features are used and where people get stuck. They receive:
- events such as "beat selected", "recording finished", "effect applied", "paywall shown", with the screen and the time;
- device model, iOS version, App version, system language, time zone, screen size;
- approximate country and region derived from your IP address (the full IP address is not stored by us);
- a random analytics identifier for your installation.
We do not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other apps or websites. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data → Manage consent. Withdrawing stops collection going forward.
3.4 Marketing measurement (not used yet)
The App currently does not use any advertising or attribution SDK. If we ever add one, the App will ask for your separate consent first and this policy will be updated.
3.5 Support emails
If you write to us, we keep your email address and the content of the conversation to answer you and to improve the App. Legal basis: legitimate interest and, where relevant, our contract with you.
3.6 What we don't collect
No name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos (other than covers you pick, which stay on the device), Apple ID, payment card data or advertising identifiers.
4. Permissions the App asks for
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Microphone | To record your voice. Audio is processed and stored on the device only. |
| Photos (picker) | Only when you pick a cover picture or save an exported video. The App sees just the item you choose. |
| Files | Only when you import your own beat. The App copies the file you choose into its own storage. |
5. Who receives data
We share data only with the service providers below, who process it on our instructions and under their own privacy terms:
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Inc. | App distribution, payments, subscriptions | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) | Subscription status | revenuecat.com/privacy |
| Google LLC (USA) — Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics | Usage analytics and crash reports (with consent) | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Amplitude, Inc. (USA) | Usage analytics (with consent) | amplitude.com/privacy |
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or to a buyer if the App changes owners (we would tell you first). We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising.
6. International transfers
Our providers process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can request a copy of the safeguards by email.
7. How long we keep data
- Purchase records: while your subscription can still be relevant, then up to the limitation period for tax and accounting law in Poland (generally 5 years after the year of the transaction).
- Crash reports: 90 days, or earlier on your request.
- Analytics events: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated — or earlier on your request.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the last message.
- Recordings and songs: on your device, until you delete them or the App. We never hold a copy.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Because we don't have accounts, we identify your data by the random installation identifiers mentioned above; to act on a request, send us these identifiers — you can copy them in the App under Settings → Privacy & Data. You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), uodo.gov.pl.
Deleting the App removes all recordings, songs and settings from your device. It does not by itself delete analytics already sent; email us for that.
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law: we do not sell or "share" personal information, and you have the rights to know, delete and correct described above. Write to the address in section 1.
9. Children
Muztereo is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. We do not direct the App at children and do not use its data for advertising. If you believe a child below these ages has used the App with analytics enabled, email us and we will delete the data.
10. Security
Data sent to our providers is encrypted in transit. Access to analytics and purchase dashboards is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; keep your device locked and updated.
11. Changes
If we change what data we collect or why, the App will ask for your consent again where consent is needed, and we will update the date at the top of this page. Older versions are available on request.
